Costumes of Himachal Pradesh reflects an awesome diversity and it's it's culture. Again the costumes of each community are different. One's clothes always reflects one's tradition, culture, religion and the environment to which they belong. Himachal Pradesh one of the untouched, pristine, and one of the most popular States in India has a  diverse clothing style.
The attire of Himachal people is very beautiful and vibrant. And it's made according to the harsh weather conditions that linger all year around. Warm and cosy. The handwoven dresses are attraction for people who visit the state from other parts of country or world. The handloom had risen to become a culture identity of Himachal Pradesh.

There are different kind of jewellery and ornaments that are worn by women in Himachal Pradesh.
•chakk - silver domed and worn on the top of head.
•chanderhar - necklace or pendent worn in weddings.
•chiri - similar to maangtika.
•toke - wristband

• jhumka - earrings

Caps and shawls  from Kullu
The best thing to take home when you visit Himachal Pradesh are the caps of Kullu. The traditional but stylish. Worn by many people of Himachal Pradesh and are sold to tourists as well. It's circular in shape with beautiful design facing the front. They get the name from the source Kullu, a place in Himachal but now is available across the state.
Kullu is also popular for its shawls which come in many Design and shades. The design add the traditional touch to the shawl. Some designs are inspired by plants and animals which are woven on the base of lighter colours like white, grey, lime or off - white. They are made from lamb wool, pashmina fibres or yak wool.

Himachal Pradesh which resides in the lap of mighty Himalayas and it's natives of the state are known as - Pahari. The culture of Himachal Pradesh is rich in diversity and traditions. And thanks to the lofty terrians and challenging reach, it is yet not influenced by the western glitters. There are many communities, traditions, culture and people from different casts that dwell in harmony in this state. Their cultures are exhibited in their traditions, rituals and dresses.
